Following the success of their previous House Lotteries, the Cove Guest Home Foundation is following up with a 3rd “Dream Home Lottery. The fund-raiser will continue to fund Seed Money for a Phase 2 Assisted Living Centre and the Chaplaincy Fund. The 1st Lottery helped fund the new Bus for the Cove and the 2nd helped fund the expansion of Williston House.
“We are thrilled to be launching our 3rd House Lottery” said Lottery Chair, Reg Bonner. “This Dream Home draw will offer a 1 in 32 chance of winning a prize with 1 in 7,200 odds of winning the dream home, a beautiful 2,000 square foot, fully furnished home in Hampton Estates, Sydney River.”
An official sod turning ceremony will kick-off the lottery at lot #26 Hampton Drive, Sydney River. The sod turning will take place at 12:00 noon, Friday, June 22, 2007 and will kick-off the sale of 7,000 tickets to the general public. Built by Vickers’ Custom Homes and furnished by Schwartz Furniture Stores, Bonner promises another desirable home in a most sought-after area. “We’re thrilled with the response from suppliers and supporters and I’m excited to announce that Central is on board once again, as our Presenting Sponsor” Bonner noted. In addition to the home, estimated to be valued at over $300,000, there will be 225 subsidiary prizes, including a brand new 2008 Jeep Patriot from Scotia Chrysler, home & garden merchandise and electronics. The complete list of prizes, along with outlets for the $100 tickets will be published in the coming days.
This year’s draw will also see a number of 3-packs available for $250. The draw for the Grand Prize and subsidiary prizes will take place at a Cape Breton Screaming Eagles Game on Jan. 13, 2008. There will also be an Early Bird Draw on November 15, 2007 for 200 free ticket draws, to double your chance to win and an all-inclusive vacation for two to a sunny destination.
